Berkeley Poole


Born and raised in Toronto, Berkeley  graduated from York University and Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany before taking on roles at Barneys New York, V Magazine, Visionaire, Laird + Partners (working on Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein), and MTV. She had also co-founded and created Adult Magazine.

Working across print, digital, video, product and environmental design, she creates functional and beautiful designs rooted in conceptual, clever, and strategic thought. She has also been featured in The New York Times, Dazed, Complex, and Flare’s "Top 30 Under 30" – to name a few.

Lacey Norton


Lacey’s experience at Kit and Ace as a founding team member of the luxury technical clothing brand, includes opening more than 50 locations across North America in just over two years. Prior to heading up North American retail at Kit and Ace, she spent 10 years with lululemon, helping grow the company from seven stores in 2005, to an global brand with a large international retail footprint. Lacey also headed up The Lab at lululemon, a customer-facing design and ideas incubator, a passion that has influenced her most recent role as an advisor to disruptive consumer brands in the retail space.

Will Stewart


Will brings 20 years of experience to Hiku, having most recently served as Managing Principal of one of Canada’s leading high-stakes communications and lobbying consulting firms as one of Canada’s leading public affairs advisors. Over the past few years, Will has developed significant expertise in Canada’s legal cannabis space working with a variety of large ACMPR Licensed Producers and other leading companies in the sector.  He has been named as one of Canada’s top lobbyists for seven consecutive years under both the Federal Conservative and Liberal governments. Will was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contributions to Canadian Public Policy. Prior to his time as a consultant, he was Chief of Staff to an Ontario cabinet minister serving in portfolios in both ministries and legislative branches.

Ria Kitsch


Ria was formerly head of marketing for SAXX Underwear Co. Since then she became a top salesperson and territory manager for WaterPlaySolutions Corp, quickly identifying and executing strategies to grow in regulated markets.  Strong customer service skills and marketing focus make her a front line specialist. Ria earned a Business Honors degree from UBC-O.

Felicia Snyder


Felicia  joined Tokyo Smoke in November 2017. After earning her Bachelor of Commerce at McGill (graduating with Great Distinction), she began her career as a Management Consultant and Engagement Manager at global consulting firm Oliver Wyman, advising financial services clients. Prior to receiving her MBA from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, Felicia was a Senior Market Manager at Google. Most recently, she spent several years in Korea with Samsung, leading teams advising top executives on corporate and marketing strategy before moving to a Senior Business Development and Partnership role.

Brian Polsinello


Brian Polsinello joined Tokyo Smoke in May 2017. Prior to joining Tokyo Smoke, Brian was a Manager at Bain & Company in the firm's Toronto and London offices, where he led teams supporting strategy, performance improvement and growth efforts for a range of clients across industrial and financial services. Brian began his career at UBS Investment Bank where he worked with industrial clients on a variety of capital raising and M&A transactions. He earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and an Honors Business Administration (HBA) with Distinction from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Jeff Barber


Jeff was the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of a boutique M&A advisory firm from 2012 to 2016. Previous to that, he held investment banking roles with Canaccord Genuity Corp, and Raymond James Ltd. Jeff started his career as an Economist with Deloitte and possesses extensive experience raising capital and advising on M&A transactions. He is a CFA charter holder with a masters degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Alberta. 

Trent Kitsch


Trent founded SAXX Underwear Co. in 2007 and successfully built SAXX into a globally recognizable brand and the fastest growing underwear brand in North America before exiting the business in 2015. In 2013 Trent and his wife Ria founded Kitsch Wines in the Okanagan Valley. Trent is an MBA graduate of the Richard Ivy School of Business with a major in Entrepreneurship.

Alan Gertner


Alan Gertner, a lover of technology, design and everything in-between, most recently led a $+100M organization at Google in Asia. Alan is a proven leader in strategy and operations, including as a founding member of Google's first Global Business Strategy team while based in Mountain View, California. Alan was formerly a Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman in New York and graduated Dean’s list from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada’s leading business school, in 2006. As a youngster, Alan spent every moment he could interning at wild and weird startups - from building flashy flash websites to developing and selling the garbage bin billboard.
